Thank you for this gentle reminder Lynn. I so deeply appreciate the tenderness so clearly coming through from you in both directions.
I love the Red Sea Covenant, and as you know, I am a red-blooded YWAMer through and through. You also know I did my stint with the Rec Walk too (and loved it :)… but boy have I found it hard not to lean toward Christian Zionism in the face of all the very loud, very one-eyed pro-Palestinian vitriol coming from the mouths of so many Christians out there! What I’m seeing coming through more and more is that when someone says “Free Palestine”, what they really mean deep down inside, is “Eradicate Israel”. I just can’t agree with that! How can we not take a stand for Israel when any decent levelheaded person knows very well how antisemitism has always raised its evil head throughout all of history to wipe out one people group alone – the Jews (and by that I mean those that carry the Jewish DNA). What I find myself doing deep down inside, is preparing myself for a time when the same level of antisemitism arises that occurred in WWII. I fins myself wanting to pre-align myself with people like Tante Corrie Ten Boom, who risked everything to save people who carry the Jewish DNA. I do not want to fudge something like that because I failed to carefully think through ahead of time, how I feel about that and more importantly, what I believe about that.
Do you have any comments for me there? My blood is nigh boiling.

I get that, Charles. I fully stand behind the right of Israel to exist and that, almost by definition, makes it seem like I am a Zionist. And that translates, in the thinking of most people, into an anti-Palestinian stance. But that is not so. There are many Palestinians who would happily coexist with Israelis. But right now, there is too much racial hatred for that to happen. The anti-Israel sentiment is out in the open and unmissable, but young people who go into military service in Israel have told me stories of racial hatred in that environment too. However, it has been a privilege to meet believers and others on both sides who are free from the poison of ethnic hatred. If a few can be free, then many others an be too.

Thank you Lynn.
After reading through the Red Sea Covenant tomorrow morning, I will be playing your podcast at base intercession. After a short time of discussion we’ll then follow the Lord into prayer from there. It’s so important to think carefully through these very emotionally charged issues with an intentionally level head & heart. Thank you for helping us with that.
